WASHINGTON – Today the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is announcing a call for speakers and presenters for its 25th annual Examining Conflicts in Employment Law (EXCEL) Training Conference, which will be held virtually on August 23-25, 2022.

The theme for this year’s conference is “25 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE,” and the agency seeks equal employment opportunity (EEO) and human resources (HR) professionals, industry consultants, academics, attorneys, professional speakers and trainers, and industry suppliers who can provide virtual education, training and professional development to expand the knowledge base of the attendees, and provide solutions to new challenges, best practices, or trends. Attendees include EEO, HR, and alternate dispute resolution (ADR) professionals and practitioners from private, state and local, and federal sectors.

If you are interested in presenting, please complete and submit the Proposals Form by April 1.

Topics of particular interest include Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA); pay equity; racial and systemic discrimination; civil rights and the pandemic; retaliation; artificial intelligence and algorithmic decision-making tools; post-Bostock guidance on sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination. We also welcome topics related to investigations, federal sector processes, and conflict resolution. Other trending topics we will consider include COVID-19 related topics on vaccinations, accommodations, return to workplace issues, and recruiting, hiring and retaining employees during the “Great Resignation.”

This highly informative and interactive training conference, featuring EEOC senior leaders and some of the nation’s most sought-after experts in EEO, offers nearly 40 events, and on-demand workshops. In addition to access to a robust agenda of workshops on popular and emerging topics in EEO, conference attendees will have the opportunity to network and participate in forums.
