New Hires Will Start on Oct. 26
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced the appointment of Darrell Stewart and Katrina Grider to the agency’s Revolving Funds Program. Stewart will serve as the Revolving Funds Management and Administration Associate Director, and Katrina Grider as the Revolving Funds Program Associate Director for Curriculum, Training, and Education. Both will start on October 26.

“We are delighted to announce new leadership for our fee-based training and education programs,” said Marty Ebel, the agency’s Chief Operating Officer. “Darrell Stewart’s experience and professionalism will benefit all Revolving Fund participants, whether from the private or public sectors. Similarly, employment attorney Katrina Grider brings world-class talent for our development and delivery of compliance training for both sectors.”

Stewart, an EEOC veteran, previously served as chief of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Office’s (OCHCO) Operations Service Division (OSD) Recruitment, Placement and Classification branch since May 2018. Stewart was an integral part of OCHCO’s efforts to support the agency’s mission, especially during critical hiring surges over the past two years. In fiscal years 2019 and 2020, Stewart also served in a leadership role as the Alternate Agency Representative and the Chairman of the Initiative’s Human Capital Cluster. In this capacity, he also co-presented a Professional Development and Resume Writing workshop at Morgan State University and co-led the Initiative’s Diversity Abroad Global Leadership Summit.

“I look forward to applying my managerial experience and the revolving funds (RF) knowledge I accumulated at the Office of Personnel Management,” Stewart said. “This position affords me a great opportunity to propel the RF here at the EEOC.”

Prior to joining the EEOC, Stewart worked in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) where, among other positions, he served as the Revolving Funds Program Manager for Vendor Management/Human Resources Solutions. Among his many accomplishments, Stewart managed OPM’s second and third largest sustained vendor management contracts, totaling $300 million. Stewart earned a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Troy State University and has earned a number of certificates in acquisitions and contract training.

In her new role, Grider will direct and oversee the development, content, and delivery of the agency’s fee-based training and education programs; manage training activities provided by the RFP Training Institute; and establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify training needs and develop appropriate training and education to meet such needs.

Grider comes to the EEOC from the private sector, serving as Of Counsel in the Houston office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart PC. She is a nationally recognized trainer, and for the past 30 years, she has developed and conducted training for private and public sector employers, litigated employment law cases and counseled clients on a wide range of employment matters. Grider is board certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Grider earned a J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law. She has been widely quoted in national and legal media outlets on various employment issues.

“I am excited about bringing the depth of my experience and passion for designing and conducting training to the Revolving Funds Division. This training position provides unlimited opportunities to develop fee-based training that supports the EEOC’s mission and priorities.”
